1. Adobe Acrobat
1.1. Acrobat very slow to load on Citrix
In Acrobat preferences for user
Page Display Tab: uncheck Smooth Line Art
uncheck Smooth images
Security (Enhanced) tab: uncheck Enable Enhanced Security
1.2. Adobe Flattening during printing
In Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader you can select your printer and then hit the Advanced button in the lower left of the Adobe Printer Dialog. Then check the Print As Image option and if it also has an option for the dpi try 300 or 400 dpi. This way Adobe will convert the PDF to an image prior to sending it to the printer and it's the solution Adobe recommends for any printing problems from Acrobat or Reader.
1.3. Highlight sections in Adobe Full version
There is a toolbar called Comment & Markup. Make sure that is turned on. If it isn't, this is how you do it
- Go to the View pull down
- Select Toolbars
- Select Comment & Markup
- On that toolbar, the 6th button from the left is a rectangle. Click on that.
- You will get a plus sign on the screen
- Place the plus sign in one of the corners where you want to start and hold the left mouse button as you drag the rectangle to the size you want. It is much like making a window in AutoCAD.
- Once you have made the rectangle, you will see a black arrow. You can now modify the rectangle if you need to.
- Clicking once on the rectangle with the left mouse button will give you nodes so you can change the size or shape.
- If you click once with the right mouse button, you will get a dialog box. You will see the last option is Properties. This will allow you to change the color or Opacity of the box.
1.4. Saving to local drive when on Hedberg Remote
I figured out the issue with being able to save to your laptop c drive when in Acrobat reader when you are doing Hedberg remote. Would create file by 0kb.
In launched Reader go to edit — preferences
Security (Enhanced) — Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at Startup — accept warning — Ok
Close Reader
Now you should be able to save to C on ComputerName location.
Seems to keep the setting permanently between sessions.
1.5. Some PDF files will not open, error about License Agreement

In certain conditions trying to open a PDF document with Adobe Reader X generates error "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement". Opening file from within Adobe Reader (File > Open) works fine. Solution: It seems that bizarrely enough this error only occurs if anywhere in the file or path name there is a string 'CR'. So another obvious workaround is to rename file/folder to get rid of 'CR'. |

3. Configura/CET
3.1. Assign to GSA
Hello,
Under Project settings select the GSA tab and then check the GSA box.
I believe that should help.
3.2. CET MIrroring setup
To add CET mirroring please follow these steps.
- Go to your D drive. Create a folder called Mirroring.
- Open CET Designer.
- Go to File>Control Panel.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Check the box Use file mirroring. Select the 3 dots to the right and browse to your D drive and select the Mirroring folder.
- Mirroring complete. Close out of the control panel. See below for image of settings.
3.3. Direct Link Setup
As of 3/9/2017 this is the method for setting up Hedberg Direct Link. See document.
3.4. Manufacturer direct link error
CET has informed us that this Service Error usually is the result of an invalid Manufacturer Code somewhere in the drawing file. Usually the Manufacturer Code is Details (DET), Steelcase1 (ST1), Brayhton (BEC), Coalesse (CLT); you will need to change these to a qualifying code to proceed.
Please note that there could be other codes that are causing this Service Error to come up.
If you have found the Details (DET) Manufacturer Code in your drawing, you can use the following steps provided by CET to get this code updated (https://village.steelcase.com/community/americas/sales/designstudio/blog/2017/02/10/error-when-sending-out-of-date-catalog-data-to-hedberg-using-the-direct-link?et=watches.email.blog):
- From the Calculation dialog click on Choose manufacturer and click on ProjectSymbols
- Click on Choose manufacturer again and then Settings
- In the dialog that appears, click on Update Price to Current Pricing. This will convert all old catalog codes to their new catalog.
*note: The Coalesse Catalog CLT - Coalesse Training/Multi-purpose Tables Catalog, is deleted from ECAT184C. Products in this catalog have been merged into the CLA and CLC catalogs. Both have had their catalog names changed as follows:
- CLA is now Coalesse Seating
- CLC is now Coalesse Tables, Storage and Accessories Catalog
3.5. Subsections in CET
There are 2 known issues with subsections generated from CET:
1. Lines within existing subsections are added/deleted/moved/re-numbered during the Create/Update Quote function of SmartTools OR during the Line Maneuvering functions of Hedberg. When these changes are made, the line numbers and line index tables behind the scenes do not update properly and become mismatched, causing broken/disjointed subsections in Hedberg
2. In the November release of ProjectSymbols, there was an issue introduced where if you have the identical ProjectSymbol specified in multiple subsections and you send this to Hedberg using the Direct Link, the subsections will be messed up in Hedberg.
Issue # 1 is fixed in the recently released Hedberg version 6.700.
Issue # 2 is a defect within the ProjectSymbols extension of CET, which has since been fixed in the updated versions of the Project Symbols extension.
If you are encountering Issue # 1, our recommended workaround is to perform ALL necessary edits to the drawing within CET and create a new quote from the revised drawing file through SmartTools Link to Hedberg until your dealership upgrades to Hedberg version 6.700.
Then, discard the previously created Hedberg quote and perform all future work against the newly created quote.
Another designer suggested creating a SIF file from the drawing in CET, importing it into your existing Hedberg quote and then deleting any previously created line items.
This will allow you to keep your existing Quote number for time/budgeting purposes. However, the SIF process is not compatible with Gesture, VIA, Think and/or Lagunitas products, so you won't be able to use this workaround on any drawings containing those 4 product lines.
If you are encountering Issue # 2, we recommend manually subsectioning the lines within Hedberg instead of sending the subsections through Direct Link until the designer is able to update to the most current version of Project Symbols.

4.1. Running different looking parameter query in IE9
If you have a new computer with IE version 9 you might get the following screen when you run the inventory reports off of Infostorr.
If you fill out the parameters, you will get a strangely formatted page not really suitable for printing (and framing).
To work around this issue simply hit the compatibility view button in the address block at the top (broken page icon).
You then should be prompted as usual.

11.1. 3 Way Booking Split
In the event we need to split an order 3 ways in Hedberg ... Here are the steps. Hedberg doesn't allow a typical 3 way split so you must create three separate orders to accomplish this.
- Create the initial order
- Sales person A (X%)
- XSP B (X%)
- Create a secondary order negating the % of XSP person B from the initial order
- Negative sell/negative cost
- Create a secondary order negating the % of XSP person B from the initial order
- Positive sell positive cost
Example: Qorvo
Split: Amada 45%, Jill 30%, Gregor 25%
Order 1 : Amanda 45%, XSP 55%
Order 2: XSP
Negative cost and sell = 55% of order one total sell.
Order 3: 30% divided by 55% = 55% Jill
25% divided by 55% = 45% Gregor
Positive sell positive cost = 55% of order one total sell

Prospects do not create auto directory, based on customer number, project number.
Click ... next to added. This will open file browsing window. Click New Folder, rename folder to customer name. Then drag document into window. Select it and open. This will link it.

Hedberg Support asked me to reach out to you. D&R? I can’t tell you the last time we got a question on that.
If memory serves, you create a damage issue linking to a quantity.
When you are ready to move on, you have a choice, close the issue or move the item into stock.
Step 1 – make your Resolved Quantity equal to issue quantity.
Step 2 – Either Close Problem or Put In Stock.
The complication then comes if you put it in stock, I believe we don’t handle the pre-sold part of the equation and you need to back out the single item or cancel the line and do a partial. I’ll see if I can find something tomorrow and forward it your way if I do.

Most of the time it will be Private Browsing
Try the following:
1. Close ALL open web pages on Safari.
2. Clear ALL cookies and history within Safari.
3. Click on your shortcut for Hedberg Mobile.
4. Before entering your login credentials, disable Private Browsing. This is done through Safari-->Private Browsing (the checkmark should disappear). Or, click the "Private" button in the address field.
5. Enter your Hedberg Mobile login credentials and try accessing any menu option.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.

Make sure audit Id is assigned back to the user id of the user in Resource Manager

IOS7 now shows private browsing at the bottom right. Clearing that fixed the issue.

11.10. Automatic Workflow Email notifications
Workflow trigger notifications now will be sent automatically in the background, and not from the email of the person triggering the function.
For example, when a CSR releases an order it triggers a Thank you note with the eStatus links; this will now be addressed from estatus@storr.com. In the past it would have been addressed from the CSR's email box.
We are making this change to support emailing of an automatic email when the order is Fully Acknowledged (starting in Raleigh currently). We can only have one type of email setups for all workflow triggers and this notification demands a background process.
CSR's you will not have the ability to intercept the pop up email for the few customers you might not want to get the eStatus notification. Therefore you need to be proactive when setting up the quote/order You need to do this for the customer contact at either the contact assignment for the order or the Contact Master file under workflow triggers.
To turn off a specific contact in all cases (only in special cases) (orders – Contacts), then click on the workflow trigger.

Meanwhile 248547 line 18 needs 22 but they are shoring back ordered.

We really need a generic way to uncommit the inventory from older jobs that are on hold, in order to fulfill current working jobs.
For Line 66 on order 247305 has 50 each of one of their stock items and has not delivered. Because the line has processing code S9 Order from Stock . With this, you should be able to uncommit by canceling the line.
For 248547 line 18 needs 22 but they are short back ordered. USE ORDER EDIT, GO into the old order line and zoom on the qty ordered, say ZERO for the commitment and it will ask to create a Backorder, say yes. That uncommits the goods so that they can be committed by another order. It’s all in the help. See our online help example below.

14.2. Outlook 365 mailbox Full fix
If you receive the message on your phone or inbox that your mailbox is full or unable to send message see below for fix to cleanup your mailbox.
- Go to Outlook.office365.com on any device.
- Login with your Storr email and network password.
- Once your logged in you will see a red button at the bottom of the page that states "Clean up Mailbox".
- Select the clean up mailbox. It will bring you to the following screen.
5. Under the Junk mail drop down select all and delete.
6. Deleted items select all and delete.
7. Inbox start with 12 months and delete. If you need more space then go to 6 months.
8. Sent items do the same as inbox and start with 12 months.
9. Leave Archive alone.
You will see the blue bar move as it deletes emails. Once you have successfully deleted space in your inbox the message should go away and you can continue sending and receiving emails.

This usually occurs when you have more than one internet browser loaded on your machine.
If you are using a browser like firefox, chrome, etc. then make IE your default browser, then go back to your preferred browser and make it the default. You might have to close and reopen Outlook, but this should resolve the issue.

Instructions for changing the image size of a PDF file in Foxit Phantom PDF. (Example: Printing a larger or smaller paper size to 11x17)
1. Open document in Foxit Phantom PDF.
2. Go to print and select Foxit Phantom Printer.
3. Go to properties at the top of the screen.
4. Under the layout tab set to landscape and for page size select Tabloid.
5. Print and save the file to your computer.
6. Open the new file in Foxit and go to print. Under preview you will now see that the Document is in 11x17.
7. Select your new printer. (Example Xerox)
8. Select Scale and None. Then check the box that states Choose paper source by PDF page size. You will see the Paper size under preview change to 11x17.

two ways to do:
The first is to use our Tech Tools utility (Close AutoCAD first) (Default Location is C:\Program Files (x86)\ProjectMatrix\Bin or C:\Program Files (x86)\ProjectMatrix\ProjectNotify if you do not have ProjectSpec installed ) In order to use the utility to add the AutoCAD paths open up Tech Tools and click ADD PROJECTSYMBOL AUTOCAD PATHS to add the paths to ProjectSymbols into AutoCAD and then open up CAD and it should populate with our ribbons and menus.
The second is to manually add the paths into AutoCAD itself in Options – Files – Support File Search path, you will want to ADD a path

22. Proofpoint Antispam
22.1. Add to white list
you can control your own white list by going to https://us4.proofpointessentials.com log in as 365 user
go to senders list and add to safe senders list.
22.2. General User Notes about Digest
You will only receive spam digest in the morning if spam was detected.
You should review spam every day. There is a chance a customer's or vendors email is in the spam box!
System needs to be trained for the bulk email you want to receive. So for the next couple of weeks pay even extra attention and train it by the following steps.
On the right side of the digest there are 4 choices
Preview – This let you see the email without images to see if you are interested.
Release – will send this specific email to your outlook email
Release and Approve – will send this specific email to your outlook email and senders email address to the white list. Don't do this all the time as it can increase the spam you receive.
Block – Always block this address.
If you want to check your spam mid day go to any of the Spam Digests and go to bottom – Request new Digest . You will receive a new email in short order.
You still need to keep an eye on our Outlook Junk Folder. Storr's Exchange server may determine spam separately from Proofpoint. (may need to train that too)
If there are some spam emails you think everyone should get no matter what send me the email address and we can add to the company white list.
23. Scanners
23.1. Reset Total Recall Scanners (MC30xx)
If the mobile computer stops responding to input, reset it. There are two reset functions, warm boot and cold boot. A warm boot
restarts the mobile computer by closing all running programs. All data that is not saved is lost.
A cold boot also restarts the mobile computer, but erases all stored records and entries from RAM. In addition it returns formats,
preferences and other settings to the factory default settings.
Perform a warm boot first. If the mobile computer still does not respond, perform a cold boot.
Performing a Warm Boot - Soft reset
To perform a warm boot:
1. Press and simultaneously hold 7, 9 and Power. Do not hold down any other keys or buttons.
2. As the mobile computer initializes MC3000 demo window appears.
Files that remain open during a warm boot may not be retained.
A cold boot restarts the mobile computer and erases all user stored records and entries from RAM. Never perform a cold boot unless
a warm boot does not solve the problem.
Cold boot resets the mobile computer, to the default settings. All added applications and all stored data are removed. Do not cold boot without support desk approval.
To perform a cold boot:
1. Press and simultaneously hold the 1, 9 and Power keys. Do not hold down any other keys or buttons. As the mobile computer
initializes, the Symbol splash window appears for about a minute.

2. Calibrate the touch screen. See Calibration Screen to calibrate the mobile computer screen.

24. Snaptracker
24.1. Can't deliver out poor condiion
I've cleared all of UANS1115 except 13 of STD ID: TS2PFF22UCM (Location 61B1, POOR condition). The peds are not physically there, but I'm unable to deliver them out. They show up on some reports, but not on item inquiry. They need to be deleted from the inventory

Could you please check to see if the Condition of POOR is set to Selectable for this customer? That would explain why you are seeing them on some reports, but not in Inquiry..

Yes, this can be set up as required or optional per customer by going in to Setup>Workflow Setup>Billing And Shipping Customization.
For Request Date, deselect the check box in the Required column and click Update.
This is where you can determine exactly what fields you want to display, and what should be required on the B&S screen.

Subject: Snaptracker Request Dates
For the SECU asset account (SECU01), the customers submit a lot of their own work orders. We have historically advised them to put in a false date (i.e. 3/3/2022) so that we coordinate the install date on our end and update asset. However, this false date seems to be causing confusion internally. It appears to be a requirement when creating and submitting a cart to have a requested date. Is there any way to make it so that date is not required to submit the work order?

es, you can transfer the product from one customer to another using a work order.
First you want to ensure that the same Standards on both customers are created and represent the same items.
When creating the WO, you want to change the destination indicator to Transfer, and select the customer you want to transfer the product to.
On the WO line, you will need to select the default destination building and location. Note: Building and Location are also on the header, but do not set the information there. Set it at the line level.
When processing, you do need to select the items specifically being moved from one to the other customer. If you want the product to remain in the same location, you need to select Same Location when processing each item. That will overwrite the default location on the WO.
The other option, if you don’t want to use a work order would be to deliver the product out of the first customer, then receive into the second as separate transactions, unrelated to one another.

24.7. Quantities on Buildups
Hi Mike,
The number 4 indicates that there is a total of 4 of this buildup that can be created from existing inventory. 3 of them are logical buildups – that is comprised of all the individual components, and there is one physical buildup – the entire buildup was received into inventory as a whole. The on hand quantity shows the physical buildup and where it was received into the warehouse. The individual component parts do not show in locations for the buildup.

Re-assigning user must have rights
admin user has the ability to reassign carts (Utilities>User Setup> User> Shopping Tab, under Administrative Access). Once the cart has been assigned to the admin user, it can then be checked out.
Reassigning person needs to go to My Account: All carts. Look for cart under created by and reassign to active user
Then assigned user will see cart in their basket and can check out.

Ensure that the add-in is installed and enabled. If after all that, you still don't see the add-in, make sure that it isn't disabled for some reason.

On the General Tab, Make sure "Disable GPU hardware acceleration (requires restarting Teams)" is checked.

26. Windows 10
26.1. Applications auto opening after shut down.
This is a new "feature" of windows - allowing you to work where you were when a computer is shut down.
I suspect you are not closing your applications before shutting down.?
Here is a non tested work around if you want to force close.
"Use Alt-F4 to display the shutdown Windows dialog, and select the shut down option from the menu. Note: All program windows need to be minimized for this to work, as you will close the active program window otherwise. Tip: Use Windows-D to minimize all windows.

According your description, it seems be related to calendar processing configuration, “AddOrganizerToSubject” and “DeleteSubject” “DelectComments” are set to “True”. This is the default behavior.
You could launch “Exchange Management Shell” via “Run as Administrator”. Run this command to check the attributes configuration:
Get-CalendarProcessing -Identity room1 | fl
And you could change the behavior by running this command:
Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity room1 -DeleteComments $false -DeleteSubject $false -AddOrganizerToSubject $false
“room1” is the name of your resource room name.
Then, in my testing, the subject and text in body will not be changed.
